Pediatrics
At Manzer Family Medicine, we’re proud to offer dedicated pediatric care through Dr. Muhammad Shah Miran, MD, FAAP, FACP, at our Carthage, MO office. Board-certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, Dr. Miran provides attentive, age-appropriate care for children from infancy through adolescence, including specialized support for children with autism and developmental differences.
Same-day appointments are available for sick visits, and walk-ins are welcome, so your child can be seen quickly when it matters most.
Our pediatric services include:
- Well-child visits, growth screenings, and developmental milestone tracking
- Sick visits for common illnesses including ear infections, strep throat, flu, RSV, and stomach bugs
- Newborn and infant care, including feeding guidance and weight checks
- Sports and school physicals
- Adolescent and teen health, including puberty and behavioral health concerns
- Autism and special needs care, with sensory-friendly accommodations available
- Assistance navigating IEPs, 504 plans, and ABA referrals
We understand that bringing your child to the doctor can be stressful, and for children with sensory sensitivities, even more so. Our team works hard to make every visit comfortable and reassuring for both kids and parents. Just let us know about any accommodations your child may need when you book.

Weight Management Program

For qualifying patients, we offer GLP-1 medications to supplement a healthier lifestyle.

Trigger Point & Orthopedic Injections

Trigger Point Injections
Trigger points are tight knots of muscle that can cause localized and referred pain throughout the body, particularly in the back, neck, and shoulders. Trigger point injections deliver medication directly into these knotted areas of muscle or fascia to reduce pain and release tension, providing relief that can last weeks or longer.
Orthopedic & Joint Injections
Joint inflammation can be debilitating, whether it stems from arthritis, gout, tendonitis, bursitis, or other orthopedic conditions. Our providers perform joint injections to deliver anti-inflammatory medication directly to the affected area, offering targeted relief with minimal recovery time.

Supartz (Hyaluronate) Injections
For patients with knee pain caused by osteoarthritis, Supartz injections offer a non-surgical option for long-lasting relief. Supartz is a hyaluronate solution, a naturally occurring substance that cushions and lubricates the knee joint. Injected directly into the knee over a short series of treatments, Supartz can help reduce pain and improve knee function.
Cryotherapy & Skin Lesions
Many common skin conditions can be treated quickly and effectively right in our office, with no referral to a dermatologist needed.
Cryotherapy uses precisely controlled freezing temperatures to destroy abnormal or unwanted skin tissue. This time-tested technique is commonly used to treat:
Warts
Actinic keratoses (pre-cancerous skin lesions)
Seborrheic keratoses
Skin tags
For growths that require removal rather than freezing, our providers also perform minor skin lesion excisions in the office. Both procedures are minimally invasive and typically require little to no downtime.
Sports Physicals
From youth league sign-ups to high school athletics, sports physicals are a requirement for student athletes at every level. Manzer Family Medicine provides thorough pre-participation physical evaluations to ensure your child is healthy and ready to compete safely.

Telehealth Services

Osteoporosis Treatment
Osteoporosis is a condition that weakens bones over time, increasing the risk of fractures, often without obvious symptoms until a break occurs. Early detection and ongoing management are critical to protecting bone health and preserving quality of life.

- Bone density screening (DEXA scan) to assess your current bone health

- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) to assess lung capacity and breathing health
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) for evaluation of heart rhythm and electrical activity
- Echocardiogram for ultrasound-based imaging of heart structure and function
